Firearms Training:

"Firearms are weapons, weapons are martial arts. Firearms is a modern martial art."

Ron Breines is both a New Mexico Department of Public Safety Certified Firearms and NRA Instructor, a Certified Range Safety Officer (RSO) and is also certified in fingerprints.

Ron does not believe that CCW permit holders should be carrying firearms unless they are fully trained in both safety and usage of concealed carry techniques. Therefore, his classes are based on both the NRA Personal Protection in the Home course as well as the Frontsight Defensive Handgun Course, of which he is a graduate and lifetime member. The NRA PPITH course is the basis of safety and basic pistol
training whereas the Frontsight portion brings the student up to more advanced technical and tactical proficiency. Together these programs bring Ron's CCW course well beyond the requirements of a typical CCW course. A certificate for both NRA PPITH and a New Mexico CCW is awarded upon completion of the course.

Other courses Ron offers are:
      - New Mexico CCW two year refresher and four year renewal courses
      - NRA Self Defense in the Home

      - NRA Basic Pistol Course

      - NRA First Steps Firearms Safety Course
      - Basic - Advanced Tactical Firearms Training
      - Martial Arts Based - Frontsight, Stressfire, Israeli Instinctive Combat Point Shooting (IDF Trained) including

        low light tactical training.

CCW courses are two day classes - day one in the classroom and day two on the range. Dry practice is done in

the classroom and students are expected to use the learned techniques on the range. This course is 15 hours long and combines manyelements from other courses.

     - CCW course fee - $150 (includes fingerprints and paperwork.)
     - CCW 2 hour refresher course - $50 (includes paperwork.)
     - CCW 4 hour renewal course - $100 (including fingerprints and paperwork.)
